A graduate of Albright College, Reading, Pennsylvania, Dr. Paris earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1985.
He is Board Certified as a periodontist by the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Paris completed his dental internship and periodontal residency at Baylor Medical Center from 1985 through 1988 and received his second Master of Science Degree in periodontics. He has extensive experience with periodontal treatment. Dr. Paris also has a clinical background in infectious diseases and earned his first Master of Science degree from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He spent a year in clinical virology and immunology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a year long internship at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, Georgia, in Reconstruction using Dental Implants. Dr. Paris' clinical interests include periodontics, oral medicine, cosmetic oral surgery, bone augmentation procedures, and implantology.
His approach is conservative utilizing the most current technology in an ultra-clean, modern office. Dr. Paris has attained Mastership status in the National Academy of Laser Dentistry; became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, only one of 156 specialists so recognized in the United States; Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, the 50th specialist in over 50 years to attain this level; one of only two periodontists in the United States still practicing who have attained this level; Mastership in the Implant Prosthodontic Section of the ICOI.
This additional training allows Dr. Paris to offer a wider range of treatment, from placing a crown on a natural tooth to completing complex restorative cases involving numerous implants and natural teeth, achieving beautiful smiles.
Dr. Paris' accomplishments have gained him numerous awards and recognition. He has been an officer, chair member or Board member in several organizations, some of which include: Fort Worth District Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the National Academy of Laser Dentistry, the Southwest Society of Periodontists, the American Academy of Microbiology, the American Academy of Periodontology,the Academy of General Dentistry and the Scleroderma Foundation of Texas.
